Genetic Insights in Action

“The insights from the Methylation and Nutrient Core report gave me the confidence to adjust my health strategy.”

Before these reports, I was guessing when it came to diet and supplements. The Methylation Report helped me understand how my body manages stress, detox, and energy. The Nutrient Core Report showed me how I absorb and activate key nutrients like B12 and folate. Understanding genes like BHMT, MTRR, and TCN2 gave me the clarity to personalise my routine with real purpose.

“The Methylation report gave me valuable insights into my energy levels and supplement choices.”

"I noticed that my energy wasn’t always stable and that my recovery after exertion took a bit longer than expected. Thanks to the methylation DNA report, I gained a better understanding of how my body processes B-vitamins and manages stress. The results helped me tailor my supplement routine more precisely and better understand what my body needs. It’s great to make decisions backed by genetic insight." — Tommy

"What really struck me in the methylation report was how much insight it gave me into long-term health risks I wouldn’t have known about." For example, my reduced ability to recycle folate and process B12 efficiently could increase my risk of inflammation and cardiovascular issues over time. It made me realize that prevention isn’t just about routine checkups, it’s about understanding how your body works at the root level. This report gave me the opportunity to intervene early and support my body before problems arise. That, to me, is priceless." — Lenie

FAQ

How DNA Is Copied for Testing

Have you ever wondered how a tiny bit of saliva or a cheek swab can tell you so much about your ancestry, health, or even which vitamins you need more of? The secret lies in a process that works like a photocopier for your DNA.

How does DNA testing work?

DNA testing usually starts with a straightforward process: collecting a biological sample. Most consumer and clinical tests use a cheek swab or saliva sample, both of which are rich sources of cells from the inner lining of your mouth. These cells contain your complete set of DNA—the unique genetic code that acts as your body's instruction manual.

Common Nutrigenomics Testing Questions

Our test is a genetic test and looks at DNA. Our reports highlight if you have any common genetic variations (SNPs) that occur in at least 1% of the population and result in differences in biological function, like nervous system function, hormone balance or detoxification, that can affect health. It doesn’t measure the products of those functions such as blood levels of hormones for example. Sometimes it can be useful to look at results of other types of test alongside nutrigenomic testing.

'No result' shown in report (particular SNP's)

Sometimes you will find a 'No result' against a SNP. The missing results occur if the lab cannot successfully read the genetic code at that particular location. The lab will attempt multiple times to achieve a high level of statistical confidence for a specific result, but if that cannot be met, it is reported as 'No result'. It is not unusual to have a few SNPs missing across the whole profile.
